New project. Tomatos in a box. 4" waterreservoir at bottom with
wicking holes in drain tubes to absorb water up to the roots. No water
from top down. Last ditch effort.

Very cool. Keep us updated. I'd like to see how it turns out. Have you ever seen/heard of people planting things in a haystack? I will try and find the link. Cool stuff.

never seen or heard of this method. Good luck. We see those upside down tomato planters hanging around here. Will keep my eye on them! I hope this new method works.

Sometimes you're the statue and sometimes you're the pigeon -- Lets hope it turns out you are the latter rather than the former.
Raising tomatoes is not for the timid - hang in there I' sure you'll eventually get the hang of it. Love your Dad
